So if you haven't seen it already, there's been some wild updates and comebacks from websites hit by the HCU previously. So for example, you can see baconbacon.com. as you can see right here, they have grown from literally nothing all the way up to 17,000 traffic as you can see. Right. I'm going to show you more example and some AIC. Okay, so I'll show you loads of different things that are going on right now because it's a very busy time for Google SEO and core updates. So if you weren't aware of it, basically Google released the August 2024 core update last week. That was on Thursday the 15 August. And ever since then a lot of sites have been bouncing back. Now during this update they basically said that this update is designed to continue our work to improve the quality of a search results by showing more content that people genuinely find useful and less content that feels like it was made just to perform well on search. And you can see that they basically said this update takes into account the feedback we've heard from some creators and others over the past few months. Now what does that mean for you? Essentially a lot of sites that were hit by the helpful content update, which I know I saw a silly amount of people complain about it last year. You can see that loads of sites like this, for example, baconbacon.com, they were 18,000. The traffic went to basically zero, as you can see after the helpful content update last year. And now in a very short amount of time, like literally one week, the traffic has bounced back from the 15 August from 500 to 17,000. Now here's what it's interesting as well is that their traffic is on point to actually increase higher than it ever was before. And basically they're on to hit new all time highs with their traffic. Very interesting case study right there. What you can actually do is if you're looking at your own site and you're wondering, okay, are my rankings bouncing back or not? You can obviously check Google core updates, but there's a problem. You can obviously check Google search console, but there's actually an issue with that and I'll come on to it later. Or you could just look at your keywords to see, okay, week on week versus pre update. So if we go to the 14 August, have my rankings gone up? So for example, you can see baconbacon.com comma, their website has increased for a lot of different keywords. You can see the change right here and you can also see all the keywords that bouncing back. Now what's interesting is if we zoom in, a lot of these pages were like 6th page, fourth page, third page, the easiest way to hide a website basically. And they were all bouncing back to position one, two, three, etcetera on the first page of Google. So it's really interesting to see that. Here's another example. So this is driveandreview.com and again their traffic bounced up from like basically zero up to 10,000 and that is increasing on a very sharp trajectory right there. As you can see their traffic was just on a slow decline, basically down to zero and then it bounced up out of nowhere. If we look over the last year as well, we can see they were previously at 40,000 traffic. Helpful content came in, traffic went to zero and then it bounced back up. Let's take here's another example. Moneycheck.com enabled previously at 10,000 traffic, traffic went down to basically nothing again. And now it's bouncing off again directly on the 15 August. So if you had websites that were hit by the helpful content update, I would check your Google search console and just see are you, is your traffic bouncing up? Is it showing signs of recovery? Because SEO is well and truly alive, my friends. And I'll show you some more cases and examples of that in a minute. So I reported on these five case studies yesterday in terms of Aico and you can see all of them are bouncing up as well. So these were previously at nothing back in March. Now they're 134 clicks. That's pptassist.com dot. Let's have a [email protected]. dot that is on par to start hitting new records again. So a few months ago that was around one or two clicks a day and now it's at 49 clicks a day. I actually broke down a framework. If you want to get that, check out the free course links in the comments description on exactly how we build these sites step by step along with a video tutorial on SAP. But essentially even the sites hit by the helpful content update are bouncing back. Sites that look like their traffic was basically zero are bouncing back as well. Lots of new sites like these ones I'm showing you. These were all built from scratch a couple of months ago. They're all beginning to bounce up in terms of the traffic as well. I mean look at this one. This one was five clicks a day a couple of months ago in May. Now it's a 123 clicks a day and that's showing no signs of slowing down. That is oiltherapycentral.com let's take a look at another one. This is bunnyeat.com, four clicks a day. Now it's at twelve clicks a day. And finally this one. This is adeptsinslides.com comma, two clicks a day. And now it's up to 60 clicks a day. And that is increasing with its SEO traffic. So really exciting times for SEO. I think it's very inspiring to see this now. It's very early days when it comes to the Google core update, if you're nothing familiar with this. So usually they take a month to roll out. But there's lots of good stuff going on. Lots of sites recovering, lots of new sites starting to rank if you're not sure, basically how these core updates work, their design overall, they're not targeting anything specifically, they're just looking at the whole site overall. Right? It's not like targeting something like backlinks, so it's not looking specifically at like certain elements. It's like everything across your whole website. Best thing you can do is check your Google search console. Just keep an eye on that. It is early days, so we might see some false negatives as well as an example of that. Barry Schwartz posted this example of a site that was gaining some ground and then reversing. So you can see it was growing after the core update here, the traffic went up to nearly 2400 clicks and then it bounced back down again. So that's something to be aware of as well, is that there's also some reports of gains after the release of the core update, which are now reversing again and going back down. I've not seen that personally. Another interesting thing that's been released inside the serps, as you can see right here, is these verified blue ticks that are being beta tested by Google inside the serps. Kind of like how you'd see on Twitter or YouTube or Instagram, et cetera, where you've got the verification ticks. These are now being inserted inside the serps. And I think that's something that's probably going to roll out more and more as AI becomes more important with SEO. Right? So for example, if loads of people create AI sites and they don't have a Persona or any sort of eat on the website, this is an easy way for someone reading Google to see what can't I trust and what's not been verified and what might be a bunch of AI mumbo jumbo. Here's a couple more examples of sites just taking drop in traffic and reversing the trend. So you can see, for example, this site started to bounce up after the core update, but then it dropped back down again. So you can see again, some of the comebacks are reversing. But as I've shown you. But for example, if you [email protected] or drivingreview.com comma, these sites seem to be increasing steadily in traffic. Now, if you didn't see it as well, here's the other thing to make it even more complex. Not only are sites recovering, not only are some sites showing signs of dropping in traffic after they've recovered, but additionally, there was an ongoing issue in search on the same day as the court update. So on the 15 August right here, the court update was released August 2024. But on top of that, on the same day there was a ranking issue for four days and 11 hours. Now that's been resolved, but that could explain some of the issues with the drops in search after recovery, right? So you can see 15 August issue, 16 August, still an issue, 19th. And then finally on the 20 August, the traffic, the ranking issues were fixed. So thanks so much for watching.
